The Chinese nation is always inclusive as it is ready to accommodate all that comes its way.
As determined by our genes, we ceaselessly strive for self-improvement, and we are open and broadminded.
Over the past century, the Chinese worldwide have been pushing the country onto the journey of going global, and they themselves experience the journey all along the way. They have witnessed the tremendous changes China has undergone over the past nearly half a century. Chinese economy is soaring, the national comprehensive strength is growing, and the Chinese people show greater composure and confidence when voicing their opinions to the world.
'You speak and the world listens'
On November 24, 2018, the third season of 'Speak to the World' debuted at CCTV-4 of China Media Group. When we began to make the program, I told my fellow team members, 'We must stick to the goal of building a platform for exchanges among Chinese people worldwide, putting outstanding Chinese people of the new era -under the spotlight, having them express their deep attachment to the homeland in the era of national rejuvenation, and showing the real living, emotions and cultural inheritance of the overseas Chinese while presenting the era of the human community of shared future: ' Luckily, the result is fairly gratifying.
'The program brings you to see the vicissitudes of history and hear the representative views of the times'.
The speakers in the program come from different generations, professions and regions, but they are here for the common theme, namely, to show a community of shared future. A review of the past 13 episodes of the program shows altogether 60 guests have spoken on the stage of 'Speak to the World' They come from more than 20 countries of five continents of the world, they engage in work of over 30 trades and fields, and they are outstanding representatives of the 60 million-plus overseas Chinese. Their stories are about abiding family love, attachment to homeland, pursuit of love, observance of morality, perseverance in pursuing a career, deep emotions for blood relations, and unremitting efforts to enhance the status of Chinese people.
