This is the exhibition catalogue for A Special Exhibition of Porcelain with Painted Enamels of Yongzheng Period in the Qing Dynasty. Through the enamel preparation techniques and decorative patterns of the falangcai porcelains, the curator presents their changes and development and reinterprets “the emperor’s taste,” “court-style type,” “poetry, calligraphy, painting and seals,” and “poetic and pictorial splendor.” An assortment of enlarged photographs of the artifacts is also included to reward readers’ affection for the falangcai porcelains.
