This book is about Italian missionary Mattew Ricci. Mattew Ricci came
to China in the 16th century and lived in China for 28 years. During his
stay in China, Mattew Ricci made great effort to learn Chinese culture
and was integrated into Chinese society. He brought western technology
to China and also introduced Chinese culture to westerners. Mattew Ricci
is regarded as Father of Chinese Catholic, Founder of Western Sinology
and even the "Supreme Model" in the history of cultural communication
between China and West.
